“Okay, sure thing. Juice coming right up.” Gray left her side and made his way over to the bar.
“Two juices.” He called, turning around and resting against the counter, taking a good look at everyone. The food table seemed to catch his eye again due to the sight of everyone digging in in such a messy way. ‘Huh, If I was hungry, I’d probably be the same’ he thought to himself as he collected the drinks and made his way back to Juvia.
“Here.” The Ice Mage handed one over to her but suddenly took it back when he realized he had already drank from it. “Heh, sorry. This one’s yours.” Gray handed the other drink over, taking a sip to quench his dry throat.
Juvia raised her hand in order to take the drink back when he suddenly took it back. She blinked, listening to his reasoning before letting out a small chuckle. It was soft and faint like a wind chime blowing gently in the rain.
She took the other cup and blushed as she stopped laughing.
“Thank you Gray-sama.” Juvia replied sipping her drink.
She felt her stomach churn in knots as an awkward silence fell over them.
should she ask?
Could she even ask?
Would he..would he even dance with her?
“Gray-sama…” Juvia began, making sure to look anywhere but where he was, “Juvia wants to know if you…if you would dance with her.”

Juvia felt a sincerer smile cross her face at Gray’s suggestion. He was as sweet as ever and these were the moments that reminded her why she loved him so. Juvia felt her blush deepen as she wrapped her arm around his. This night was going to be perfect, she told herself. She knew that if she was with Gray nothing could go wrong.
She continued to smile as the entered the guild hall, pleased that she was keeping such a happy feeling for so long. Looking around she realized he was right, the guild was digging into the food like crazy. Especially Natsu.
“Gray-sama? Do you want Juvia to get you a drink?” She asked looking up at him.
As they walked in to the hall, Gray glanced over to the bar and food area where most of the Fairy Tail members seemed to be.
“Heh. That’s all the members do. Drink, eat and sleep.” He laughed, looking around the room and taking it in.
The ice mage suddenly caught note of Juvia asking him something. “Hm? Oh…It’s alright. I’ll get ‘em. What do you want?” Having the Lady get the drinks would be very un-gentleman like of him.
Juvia gave a soft smile as her face began to redden once again.
“Uh Juvia would just like some juice.” She told him not really looking him in the eye. “Juvia doesn’t really like the taste of alcohol at all.”
Glancing around she noticed how many people were attending with dates. Had all of them gotten together? Or simply were they all joining together for a date tonight? She had to wonder what was going through the minds of so many of her guild mates.

Juvia blinked as she tied Gray’s bow. For a moment she could have sworn she saw him blush. Her mind spiraled away from her as images of him confessing his love flashed through her mind. Her heart beat quickly as her imagination began to take full swing. Though almost as soon as it started it stopped with Gray’s question. Her blush faded a bit at the sound of his almost snappy tone. His tone and his offer contradicted each other and for a moment Juvia wondered if he only said yes to have a date.
She felt her heart sink.
“Juvia is fine Gray-sama. Thank you.” She let out a smile pushing her worries to the side. At least for now she could pretend that he had said yes because of her.
Though one nagging thought was in her mind, was she the second choice?
Her sudden change of tone made Gray confused. “You okay? You sound a bit down.” He said as she was almost done with his bow. Was it him? Did he sound mean at all? He had a habit of doing that…
“Shall we go, then?” Gray smiled, holding his arm for Juvia to take it. “They’ll probably be eating all of the food and there’ll be none left by the time we go in.” The ice mage joked, trying to put some effort into the night ahead.

Juvia messed with part of her dress, to say she was nervous would be the least. Swallowing down her fear she stepped outside of her apartment and went towards the guild hall. They had agreed to meet up outside of it in just a bit and so she was a bit worried she would be late to top it off. As she reached the guild hall she saw Gray standing there messing with his tie.
Her heart skipped a beat.
He looked amazing, slick and cleaned up not half naked like he normally was. Though Juvia had a feeling he would end up out of it like always anyway. Her face grew hot as she moved closer to him and called out to his attention.
“Gray-sama, Juvia can tie that for you.” She told him a small blush on her face as she became increasingly aware of what she was wearing.
Turning his head, he saw Juvia standing in front of him looking rather flustered. What she was wearing was quite impressive and flattered her figure a lot.
“Uh…thanks…” Gray blushed slightly as her slender fingers tied his bow quickly. He felt pretty stupid that he couldn’t do it himself.Looking up at her again, he noticed she was only wearing a dress, no jacket or anything. Might as well be a gentleman.
“Aren’t ya cold like that?” The ice mage said in a slightly snappy tone. “Want my jacket?”

“Juvia has been fine.” She replied hugging Meredy lightly.”What about you?” She asked smiling at the pink haired girl before her. The sight of the younger girl always made Juvia happy, she really did enjoy Meredy’s company.
Meredy slowly let go of her and took a step back. “That’s good to hear. I’ve been doing good. Well- as good as you can when you constantly have to worry about being imprisoned by the council… But let’s talk about more important things. How’s it going with Gray?” She asked with a teasing smile.
“With Gray-sama?” She asked a blush creeping on her face. Truth be told it wasn’t really going anywhere and the thought alone made her heart sink. She hadn’t told anyone how she was feeling about the situation but with Meredy she felt a connection. She was willing to talk to the younger girl.
“Juvia is worried it isn’t going well.”

It was a warm, starry night on the night of the Fairy ball. Gray sighed loudly as he shoved his hands into his trouser pockets. The tux he found at the back of his closet fit perfectly, like it was waiting for such an occasion. It was kind of itchy though.
“Tch, damn thing. I wonder how you tie this bow…” The ice mage complained, fiddling around with the black bow in his hands. He didn’t have time to buy a clip on one, though he should of.
“Might as well leave it as it is.” He grumbled, looking up and around for any sign of Juvia. Waiting outside was calming. Gray didn’t usually like dressy up nights like this but it was nice to be with everyone.

Juvia’s dress
Juvia held the dress close to her body. She had never thought she would get a chance to wear the outfit, and in some ways she was a bit embarrassed at the idea of wearing it. It was dark fitting her normal style of clothing. Yet, she felt like she was going to stand out too much in it.
Sighing she felt a blush capture her face.
“Juvia hopes Gray-sama likes it.”
November 3 2012, 6pm
“W-would you like to go with Juvia?” She asked her face deep with red. She prayed for his reply to be yes.
A quiet familiar voice made him turn around. Juvia was standing there looking nervous and very red for some reason. “Me? Uh, sure thing. I have nothing better to do.”
Juiva felt her face radiate heat. Her heart was pounding as that simple word floated to her ears. Yes. He had said yes!
“J-Juvia will have to pick out something nice.” She muttered.
